These spun aluminum housings feature a base that incorporates a 2 inch velocity stack and a tuning/splitter vane that causes 60% of the entering air to flow through the outer portion of the carburetor/TBI inlet. The cover is internally shaped to form a converging nozzle with the base. The nozzle efficiently accelerates the entering air so that more air can flow through the intake system with less pressure drop. These air induction housings flow in excess of 1000 CFM when used with a 4 inch high x 14 inch OD paper filter element. You can expect approximately 3% more airflow when a cloth or foam filter element is substituted.

The AC-01 fits the single stud GM TBI used from '87 to '91 and all 5-1/8 dia. Carburetor applications.

The AC-02 fits the dual stud GM TBI used from '92 to '95

These spun aluminum housings are similar in appearance to the racing units shown above. They feature a base that incorporates a 2 inch velocity stack, the internal surface of the cover is flat. These units offer significant performance improvement (40% more flow) over the factory air induction system and flat-bottomed aftermarket air cleaner housings at a very attractive price.

The AC-01F fits the single stud GM TBI used from '87 to '91 and all 5-1/8 dia Carburetor applications.

The AC-02F fits the dual stud GM TBI used from '92 to '95

All of the air induction systems described above have been granted an exemption by the California Air Resources Board (ARB), EO-477-1. This exemption applies to General Motors light trucks equipped with V-8 or V-6 motors equipped with Throttle Body Injection (TBI) intake systems.

The HBS consists of three pieces; a Socket Head Cap Screw, SHCS, a locking pin, and a reinforcing washer. The SHCS provides improved access to the bolt head during installation. The head of the SHCS easily clears the header tube and does not require additional clearance for a socket or wrench since it accepts an internal ball-driver wrench. The ball-driver wrench can engage the SHCS at a significant angle (28 deg.) relative to the SHCS centerline and is itself smaller in diameter than the head of the SHCS. The locking pin is large and easy to install by hand. The reinforcing washer features a circular cut out to clear the adjoining header tube while reinforcing the header flange. Smaller sized locking pins are available on request.

HBS-01 is for Chevy small block applications (12 bolts)

HBS-02 is for Chevy big block applications (16 bolts)

HBS-03 is for Ford Small block (16 bolts)

HBS-04 is for Mopar small block applications (12 bolts)

Recognizing that the use of a ball driver tool greatly facilitates header installation for most applications. Alcone Engineering Inc. offers a low cost, ball driver wrench as a service to its customers.

The HBS-T1 is used for Chevy SB and BB; Ford SB and Mopar BB/Hemi applications, it fits 3/8 SHCS.

The HBS-T2 is used for Mopar SB applications, it fits 5/16 SHCS
